Safety
NOTICE
Refer to Safety Instructions before performing any operation on the RMI System.
Tools and Equipment
- 4mm Allen key
- Cutter
- Phillips screwdriver
Preparations
- Remove the crate's top and side covers.
- Remove the protective film from the RMI System.
- Using a cutter, remove five cable ties securing the corrugated tube.
- Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws, washers, and clamps securing the main unit to the crate.
- Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove four screws, washers, and clamps securing the control unit to the crate.
WARNING
Lifting the RMI units requires four people.
Failure to comply may result in a serious injury.
- Lift the main unit and control unit from the pallet and position at the designated installation location.
Procedure – Part 1
- Remove the LED tower light from its packaging.
- Connect the LED tower harness to the control unit.
- Insert the LED tower to the LED tower mount.
- If the hopper was packaged separately, remove it from its packaging.
- Using a 4mm Allen key, install four screws securing the hopper to the main unit.
- Using a key, open the control unit's front door.
- Remove the moisture absorbing bag from the control unit.
Procedure – Part 2
- Open the transparent camera door on the front side of the system.
- Remove the lens covers from all cameras.
- Open the transparent camera door on the back side of the system.
- Remove the lens covers from all cameras.
WARNING
Only a certified electrician should connect the control unit.
Failure to comply may result in injury or damage to equipment.
- Connect the control unit to mains power.
NOTICE
A 100kVA UPS can be installed inside the control unit.
- Connect the control unit to a UPS.
- Connect the control unit's Ethernet cable to an RJ-45 terminal.
NOTICE
If required, run a digital I/O cable through the corrugated tube to the electric enclosure on the control stand.
- Remove the air tube from behind the touchscreen's door.
- Connect air supply to the air treatment port on the main unit.
- Power on the system.
