RMI RECOVERY

This new RMI platform allows for your material to be run through the system in multiple cycles automatically, allowing for high-quality color-based (e.g. white pellets from blue pellets) or contamination-based (e.g. black specks in otherwise uniform materials) sorting, or material recovery.

Using delicate ejection pulses in each run, it accurately recovers the materialy within a few cycles, with only a minimal quantity of “OK” material being ejected with the disqualified ejected pellets.

This allows for the recovery of OK material even when present in relatively low proportion with disqualified material, as shown in the picture, where the OK material – which amounted to 20% of the original material – was successfully recovered.

Process Overview

  • System Input: Material designated for recovery enters the process through the Bottom circulation hopper.

  • Refinement Loop:  Material is moved via pressure feeding to the Top circulation cyclone.

    • From the cyclone, the material drops via gravity feeding into the Inspection system.

    • During each pass, any identified impurities are diverted to the System rejects bin.

    • Material that passes inspection is continuously recirculated through the system, undergoing repeated refinement to ensure it achieves the required purity level.

  • Final Output: Once the material reaches the user-defined cleanliness threshold, it is diverted to the Clean material discharge cyclone. From this point, the refined product is gravity-fed into the final Clean material storage bin.
